Jason Galary, Nye’s Engineering Development and Applications Manager, will present his paper, “Investigation of Fretting Wear and Durability of Electrical Terminals when Exposed to Variable Frequency Vibration,” at the 2015 International Tribology Conference. The conference will take place at the Tokyo University of Science, in Japan from September 16th-20th.

Nye Lubricants is launching the “NyeTube” channel. It will feature instructional and educational videos to help you answer some frequently asked questions. NyeTube recently went live with its first video in the series on oil separation. This video demonstrates how you can safely mix oil back into the grease.

Nye representatives will be attending MD&M East 2015, June 9-11, at the Javits Convention Center in New York, NY. As we are now ISO 13485 Certified, we are looking forward to working closely with device design firms, contract manufacturers, and drug marketers to create products which help optimize performance, quality and cost, as well as patient compliance and safety.

The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) modified its Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) in March 2012 to align with the United Nations' Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). Nye Lubricants is committed to complying with the requirements of HCS 2012/GHS and will start labeling all products manufactured after June 1, 2015 with the new GHS labels, as to fulfill OSHA mandates. Nye is taking every step necessary to ensure that we are prepared to successfully transition to the new GHS label and Safety Data Sheet formats in the U.S. by the June 1 deadline.

Nye is looking to expand our Global Business Development Team with the addition of an International Regional Engineering Manager (IREM). The IREM will be responsible for working in conjunction with assigned Channel Partners in Asian Pacific Rim countries to develop business opportunities for Nye Lubricants that optimize Nye’s unique value for the customers’ application(s).

Nye Lubricants is now a member of MassMEDIC, the Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council, an organization that represents and advocates for New England’s MedTech community.

Earlier this year, Nye Lubricants was honored to receive a Perfect Quality 2014 award for setting the standard of exceptional quality performance among Nexteer's supplier community.

New developments in high temperature connector greases are highlighted as well as antifriction coatings for noise, vibration and harshness issues in automotive components.
