Quality

“We are committed to continual improvement to the Quality Management Systems (QMS) and to comply with applicable requirements to enhance customer satisfaction."

The pursuit of quality is a proactive one at Nye. Far beyond simple compliance, ours is an environment driven by continuous improvement. Our objective: To give our customers all the fact-based, metrics-driven information they need to make informed decisions – and sleep well at night. Nye’s quality management system consists of set of policies, procedures, networks, system controls and processes to ensure that the product you specify is the product you receive.

Quality assurance testing at Nye Lubricants.

Supplier Audits

As part of our Supplier Quality Management Process, Nye audits our suppliers routinely. This audit ensures that our lubricants are manufactured with the highest quality raw materials and confirms that our robust supply and product line are consistent and meet Quality Certifications.

Incoming Inspections

We don’t accept certifications at face value; instead, we perform independent inspections to ensure the spec is spot-on. Nye’s incoming inspection team inspects the raw material containers for damages, labels, lot numbers, corresponding paperwork, and testing listed on the certificates of analysis and conformance to ensure it meets the internal specifications set by our quality team.

Process Qualification

Nye has developed a set of standardized manufacturing policies and procedures to ensure product consistency, optimization and sustainability. Approved instructions by the quality control system are carried out to meet strict requirements and/or customer criteria.

Product Qualification

Nye performs a series of validation tests on all our lubricants to ensure that they are of the highest quality prior to shipment. Our engineers can even provide you with test samples so that you can validate our products on your own terms.

Packaging Inspection

Nye inspects all our incoming packaging containers to ensure that they conform to a MIL Spec Acceptable Quality Level. To ensure quality upon arrival, all our jars are spill and tamper proof. Our Quality Control team inspects every item and every shipment, via checklist, before it leaves our docks to catch any labeling issues before shipment. Documentation

We electronically provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA) or a Certificate of Conformance (COC) for each product released. A Certificate of Analysis is a lot-specific document that contains product testing results. Whereas, the Certificate of Conformance is an official document (without testing results listed) which validates that the product meets our current specifications according to regulatory standards.

Nye Lubricants performs routine inspections and cleanings of our equipment. We also follow strict equipment maintenance standards which improve operation efficiency, improve automation to produce higher quality products and increase overall safety levels. Scheduled maintenance inspections are conducted and monitored to maintain facility requirements.
