Applications Development & Validation Testing Lab Updates

Working with customers in the field during the application design process allows our Engineers to design and build test devices for specific customer needs. The ADVT lab devices simulate real-world applications to ensure that our lubricants behave in the desired manner over the product lifespan. 

Tribological Testing: SRV, 4 Ball Methods & Profilometer

This 3-part series focuses on the importance of Tribology; the science of friction, wear and lubrication; and how the tribological properties of a lubricant can be measured using the SRV, 4 Ball Methods and Profilometer.

New Products, Same Proven Quality

The year 2016 saw the improvement of several established grease series, the introduction of sample kits and the release of new lubricant formulations. Our lubricants are critical components in product design helping ensure long life and optimum performance of an application.

Connector Lubricant Kit Now Available

Request our latest kit. It includes 25g tubes of 2 types of connector lubricants: NyoGel® 760G and Rheotemp™ 768G. These products guard against fretting corrosion and protect metal surfaces from oxidation.  

Next Generation of Lithium Soap Greases

Rheolube® 462, the next generation of synthetic hydrocarbon grease thickened with lithium soap, was commercialized. The new grease improves on our current Rheolube® 362HT product successfully used for many years in the automotive industry.

New Calcium Sulfonate Thickened Grease 

Rheotemp™ 662 is Nye’s first calcium sulfonate thickened product. Made with a PAO base oil, 662 is compatible with many plastics and elastomers used in the Automotive Industry and is recommended for high load applications operating under extreme conditions. 

NyeTube - Testing at Nye

This year we launched our NyeTube channel making all videos accessible on our social media pages and corporate website. NyeTube features educational videos that describe Nye's custom solutions, quality in manufacturing and lubricant testing capabilities.
